The one thing that is on our minds since the beginning of this year is the Corona Virus. There are no surprises why it has had such a huge effect on our lives. The number of days is 10 in some states while it remains 15 for a few countries, though the number may vary from state to state, the intention is the same. A part of the medication is to stop the spread. Under Quarantine, the physical contact between people is minimised and also, the patient will have all the required medication available to him by the doctors. As there is no vaccination, this is sort of a method used for stopping the spread of coronavirus.

However, as we are all into this together, we should know what kind of medication we are given, to help us fight this novel coronavirus. Remdesivir or Veklury is the only medication approved by the FDA, to treat coronavirus disease. The methods used by countries may differ. However, those patients who were treated with Remdesivir were recovered faster compared to other drugs. These are often given in the form of tablets and even injections.The FDA has rescinded it’s emergency authorization for the use of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat people who are hospitalized with COVID-19 amid serious concerns about their safety and how well they worked against the virus.
Advancement in the medication
Dexamethasone is another drug which is used in treating the novel coronavirus. It is a common corticosteroid medication that has been used for years. In the UK a randomized clinical trial proved this drug to be effective in treating Covid-19.
Over the past few months, the talk about the plasma was a topic of discussion. They sounded more like plasma transplant, but it was nothing like the transplant at all. Convalescent plasma was an emergency investigation new Drug issued by FDA. Now, how it used by the doctors is quite interesting to know. The plasma from a recovered person is collected and later that plasma is transfused into someone who has recovered from the Covid-19. It is found that the antibodies found in the convalescent plasma helps the positive patient fight the novel coronavirus easily.
